A calling to the stove
while grabbing the pot,
I find myself in my kitchen,
despite the unearthly start.
This day is to begin,
but the sun rays go unnoticed.
Until my tyrst happens,
With you, my favourite coffee bean, well roasted.
With a waft you hit,
with bubble- like warnings you beckon,
The Bialetti espresso maker is your home this morning,
seldom this moment I share without you, so strong, so handsome.
All this liquid gold that's you
is now mine to drink,
unclog my foggy thoughts
and force me to really awaken and think.
How you play your role
while running through my veins?
Kaapi, Café, Kava, Coffee or Control over me
Should I thou rename?
The international day for you
they say it is today...
Even more to be revered,
Making you more rare and expensive,
A marketing plot to be absolutely feared!
Let's get you and everyone down to earth fast,
These fads and fashions,
seldom last.
They recycle those with new names
every other year or three,
You and I shall discuss this then,
You, the coffee in my cup and me
Yes, I definitely think we're
enough company.
