An apple a day,
Keeps the doctor away,
Is a quote that’s been with us to
Intend to keep our vices away.
Yet many of us,
Stick to them bad habits hard
And the apple just sits rotting
In our fruit tray.
The intention is good!
And our hearts damn close
To making all illnesses go away.
But the action is lacking,
The tongue is smacking,
The remembering it’s hit,
